FC Cincinnati Advances in US Open Cup
FC Cincinnati defeated Indy Eleven of the NPSL 2-1 tonight in the second round of the US Open Cup. FC Cincinnati wins their first ever US Open Cup Match and they now advance to play the Tampa Bay Rowdies on June first in Tampa.
FC Cincinnati was able to score first on PK taken by Omar Cummings in the 36′ minute putting FC Cincinnati up 1-0.

Just minutes later Indy Eleven NPSL was able to strike back and bring themselves back into the game when Mitchel in the 39th minute put one in the back of the net. The handful of Indy Eleven fans set off a massive smoke bomb that quickly filled the Nippert Stadium.

Shortly after the smoke began to clear it the police showed up and asked the Indy Eleven to not use anymore smoke. Smoke can only be deployed in certain parts of the stadium.

FC Cincinnati was able to seal the deal in the second half when in the 61st minute when McLaughlin scored his third goal in three matches, putting FC Cincinnati up 2-1.
