FC Cincinnati Defeats Harrisburg City Islanders 2-0
In front of a crowd of 16,097 at Nippert Stadium FC Cincinnati was able to get their second clean sheet of the season, winning 2-0 over the Harrisburg City Islanders. FCC continues their unbeaten streak now having made it six games without a loss. The games attendance is impressive if you consider the fact that it’s a holiday weekend and the Taste of Cincinnati was happening at the same time. What was also impressive was the effort FCC displayed on the pitch tonight. This match was extremely physical from the start and that physicality continued to until the final whistle.
FC Cincinnati scored their first goal in the 18th minute when Andrew Wiedeman shot a rocket from outside the box.

Cincinnati went into the half up one t0 nothing. In the 52′ minute Harrison Delbridge took an elbow to the face, causing him to start bleeding pretty badly. At the 53′ minute the referee decided to hand out a red card to Harrisburg after seeing the extent of what happened.
The physicality of the play continued, which eventually led to FCC getting a PK in the 88th minute. The penalty came when Hoppenot was brought down on an aggressive tackle inside the box and the PK was taken by Okoli.
