FC Cincinnati Defeats Pittsburgh Riverhounds 1-0

It was a chilly night in Cincinnati, but that didn’t stop a USL record crowd of 23,375 fans from filling Nippert to watch FC Cincinnati defeat the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 1-0. The match also marked FC Cincinnati’s first clean sheet in club history. Many people doubted Pittsburgh’s abilities after the team cut star player, Romeo Parkes after last week’s incident. The Riverhounds played hard, especially their goal keeper Vargas, who was making his USL debut.

The goal that put FC Cincinnati came from Jimmy McLaughlin in the 26th minute on a second attempt shot after his initial effort was blocked.
